Hi
When we try to place an order for a quantity greater than what is available for a product, we get a useful warning message:-
The quantity entered for nn-nnn will result in an oversold product. Do you wish to continue?
If we try to place an order for a product which is already out of stock, we don't get a warning message. Are there any settings in Configuration which I may have missed which would warn on any Out of Stock orders?
Thanks
Simon

There's no setting to tell SP to warn you in an already out of stock situation, only to warn you as you're about to over-sell or to prevent you from over-selling. Displaying the in stock/no stock situation on the screen lets the user know when a product is already out of stock.

Thanks. I can see the logic behind that, some of the Sales Force need their hands holding more than others. I'll have to find another way of empahasising these.
