download speed from cloud and lost internet connection

Dear,

We have to download all the files from the cloud (after reset ipad, or new ipad..) and it seems the speed of download from the cloud is very slow. It takes several hours to download (+- 5 hours and more) .
is this normal ?  we have 59 MB to download.

But as this takes so much time, it seems we have everytime somewhere internet connection falls. Even with a very stable internetconnection somewhere we lose (maybe less than 1 second ) internet connection. So we can not download all the info from the cloud and cannot work with the ipad.
Is there a solution to download faster ?
Or what to do when the ipad tells there was a lost of internet connection ?
Please advise urgent.
We have to work in UK on fair
Thank you.

Re: download speed from cloud and lost internet connection

In most cases, an interrupted download will carry on from the point that it was interrupted at when you next perform a download.

However, an interrupted download will start over again when you next perform a download is if a Process Files operation has taken place on your cloud account after the download originally started but before an interrupted download is resumed.

Since the initial download of data to an iPad will always take the longest we recommend that you do not run Process Files while you're performing an initial download. If you have this set up as a scheduled task to run at regular intervals then I would recommend pausing the task until your iPad has successfully performed its first download.

A large percentage of the time during the download of data is actually taken up when processing the data locally on the iPad once it has been downloaded rather than the transfer of the data over the internet. When downloading images the majority of the time is spent tranferring the files over the internet.

Re: download speed from cloud and lost internet connection

Although we stopped the process files, we are still unable to download to the iPads. We are on a fair with 5 iPads and have to write by hand. No one can succeed a (full) download. The Internet connection is not so stable and after a couple of hours the download always start completely over again. On 2 iPads the downloads blocked in the middle of the job, just telling "requesting data" with no movement anymore. We always had the same. We had to remove the app from the iPads again and start overf completely, but still no iPad could perform a complete download. Please help us.

Re: download speed from cloud and lost internet connection

Unfortunately, being at a trade fair with an unstable internet connection isn't really a suitable environment to be attempting an initial/full download of your data.
