This is a bit frustrating. I've managed to upload images ok, although I've found that even by zipping them I can't upload too many at once.
However I just can't seem to be able to upload my data file. I've used the CSV template provided and have gone through the "getting started" document. As far as I can see I'm doing everything right, but I'm getting a message "Unknown File Type or Filename contains invalid symbols"
If I zip the file it appears to upload but doesn't show up in my data section on the cloud.
Could it be that I'm running the wrong version on excel?
Any idea please?
I'm seeing one of the companies that I work with tomorrow and was hoping to have some of their products loaded in order to sell the app idea to them and the other 8 agents.
Can anyone help?

It sounds like you haven't set up any file mappings. When uploading data files you can only upload files that your cloud account is expecting.
For example, in the file mappings screen, if you set the file mapping for your product data to products.csv then the upload process will accept this file.
Once you have set up your file mappings and uploaded files against them you will need to go through each one and set up their field mappings too.

Thanks admin!
I thought I had mapped the files but had just put "products" and not "products.csv" in the mapping field.
It seems that the data has now downloaded but I'm not able to access as it says there are "no reps or locations set up" as far as I can see I've done this. I uploaded reps.csv and locations.csv.
Any clues?

Make sure you've mapped the fields for the reps and locations via the field mappings screen.

Done that. Still no reps. What am I missing here?
I've uploaded locations and reps. I've even renamed them and uploaded again.
As far as I can see the file names match and I've mapped.
What about the "for future use" bits in mapping?

The final step before making the data available to your iPad is to run the Process Files option (step 8 in the getting started with your data guide). This processes your data files against your current field mappings.
I've taken a quick look at the stats for your cloud account and it looks like this option hasn't been run yet (it shows the last time the files were processed as "Unknown").
On an ongoing basis, you need to run Process Files each time you upload replacement data files or alter any of your field mappings.

Thanks that was it. Completely missed step 8
Now any idea why my images are not hooking up with the data and are not showing on the iPad?
Sorry for all the questions

Almost there I think.
Looking at some of the image filenames (such as 03757) and double-checking this against your product CSV file (which shows the product code as 3757) it looks like any prefixing zero's on your product codes are being stripped off when saving within Excel.
To preserve the leading zero's you will need to format the product code column as "text". I recommend doing this for the barcode column as well.

Ok tried that but still no images. Made sure I processed and did full download.
Should there be any reference in the product file to the image reference or does it simply pick up the product code?
I've run out of time now today and have to head to meeting. I'll have my iPad with me so can update but I'm away from my pc so can't do any spreadsheet work.
Any further help on images would be appreciated. I can only imagine that I've missed something somewhere.

The leading zero's are still missing from the products in the products.csv file you uploaded about 15 minutes ago. You can double-check the CSV file by opening it in a windows application such as Notepad.
There doesn't need to be any reference in the product file if your images are named the same as the product code.
To demonstrate your images working I've doctored the uploaded CSV file to put a zero in front of the entry for 3757 (assuming it's meant to be 03757). If you perform another download on the iPad you can see that the image now appears for the product (in fact, three images for that product since you have image files 03757.jpg, 03757_1.jpg and 03757_2.jpg).

Ok thanks. I can try and do this when I'm back in the office.
What I don't understand is that many of my product codes start with 15, 14 or 19 so there is no beginning "0" involved.

While you have approx 460 products in your CSV file there are only approx 85 images currently uploaded to your cloud storage area.
You can double-check which images have been uploaded via the Manage Files option on your cloud account home screen.

Ah! That may explain it then. I think my last upload failed.
How many images is it possible to upload at one time? I did zip all images for all 460 products but that file seems to fail.
Thanks

The upload process should be able to handle zip files of up to around 1GB in size. However, there is more chance of timeouts or interruptions occuring during the time it takes to upload a file that size, which would cause the upload to fail.
Personally, I would look to create batches of zip files of around 100MB maximum size and upload these.

Still having problems with the product code. No matter what I do it won't save as text. When I open the spreadsheet again it's back to numerical with the "0" missing and this causes the images not to match.
Any other ideas of how to get around this?

You may want to save the master copy of the spreadsheet that you work on in one of the Excel formats rather than as a CSV file.
This means that the spreadsheet will keep any column formatting that you've set (such as formatting the product code column as text).
When you want to upload a copy of the spreadsheet to your cloud account, save/export it as a CSV file and upload that, but continue working with the master copy rather than re-loading the CSV file back into Excel.
