e-mail orders

Not receiving e-mail orders to my address-how long should they take to come through?

Re: e-mail orders

Emailing is handled by the operating system on the iPad rather than by Sales Presenter. Therefore we have no control over whether emails are actually sent or how long they might take.

You can check the status of emails in the mail app on the iPad. If an email has been sent then it will appear in your "sent" mailbox. If there has been an error when trying to send an email it may appear in an "out" mailbox.

Re: e-mail orders

Using borrowed i-pad which does not have my log in e mail address (Exchange) setup. Presume I will have to set up Exchange on this i-pad or use my .aol account which is on here.

Re: e-mail orders

Yes, it needs to use a mail account that exists on the iPad.

Re: e-mail orders

When you receive the "Sending Email" message that says "The email has been sent" this means that the mail app on the iPad has notified Sales Presenter that it has handled the email (regardless of whether it was able to physically send the email or not). What the mail app actually does with the email is out of our control.

Re: e-mail orders

I thought the export automatically sent e mail? I cannot see separate e mail button, also do not get any message about e mail being sent?

Re: e-mail orders

Ah, I think there has been a misunderstanding.

Exporting an order means that the order is uploaded to your cloud account and marked as Exported in Sales Presenter so that you can no longer alter it (although you can view, print, email and/or copy it as required).

When previewing an order acknowledgement within Sales Presenter you have the option of emailing or printing it (see the screenshot below).

http://www.bacapps.co.uk/forum/uploads/2_ordackscreenshot.png

Once you press either the Email or Print buttons, the operating system takes over for the actual email/printing processes.

Re: e-mail orders

I can't see the e-mail/print button when previewing old orders or raising new ones?

Re: e-mail orders

The buttons appear in a pop-up window when you press the symbol in the top-right of the Sales Presenter screen (shown just above the buttons in the screenshot above).
