I have back order and order history missing from customer. Why would this be?
Offline
I have performed a "process files" on your cloud data so the back order information should be downloaded to the iPad when you next sync (there was an issue in the process caused by the fact that the "picked qty" field was originally named "despatched qty" - we've now addressed this).
With regard to order history information, this will build up on an iPad for a customer as you take orders on that iPad. Please note that this history will be wiped (along with all other data) on an iPad if the "reset database" option is ever used.

So does the order history only relate to the orders on the ipad and not to the actual account order history?
Offline
Yes, the order history relates to orders on an iPad and will build up over time (this is different to our PDASales application which wipes the order history every time you refresh the data).
Offline
Is it possible to have all order history of an account on the ipad as some orders will not be done using the ipad?
Offline
Yes, it will be possible for premium cloud account users to do this at some stage. This is one of the higher priority items on our development wish list.
Offline
Has this been added yet to the premium version so that we have all back order data from back office system?

Uploading back order data from a back-office system has been available since day one of Sales Presenter.
Uploading order history data from a back-office system is still on the list of things that we want to add but to date it has been pushed down in priority as we've concentrated on other user requests and requirements.
Offline
So the order history will only be what orders have been taken on the iPad for the time being?
Offline
..... Also i have examples where the item is on back for the customer, but it doesnt flag that it is on back order for the customer. It comes up with the last price paid, but doesn't tell you that the customer has it on back order.

Please can you clarify the above statements. Is back order data not the same as order history? The reason for my question is that we use X-suite in conjunction with PDA sales in our showroom and all the order and invoice history for a customer, i.e product code, price paid, date, etc is available in X-suite. We would like the same information to be available on Sales Presenter so that when visiting customers who have previously placed orders in our showroom, via PDA sales, we have the same information available on Sales Presenter when we visit them on the road.

In X~Suite terminology, order history means orders that had been placed in the past whereas back orders are individual product lines on orders that have yet to be fulfilled (hence the items are on back order).
Since the back order data is uploaded from X~Suite to the cloud Sales Presenter can show, for a customer, what they've previously ordered but have not yet received (our PDASales handheld system shows this same information).
Our cloud system doesn't yet handle the uploading of order history data from a back-office system so the only order history you'll see in Sales Presenter at the moment is for orders that have been taken on that particular iPad (our PDASales handheld system will only show an order history for orders taken since the last data refresh).

After an order has been uploaded to the cloud it is still on the iPad/SP. Is it these orders that currently form the order history? So if they are deleted then there is no order history?
Offline
That is correct.

Do you intend to implement an update for Sales presenter which will handle the uploading of order history data from a back-office system ( from say X-suite) and if so can you give a rough date for the release.

Uploading order history data from a back-office system is still on the list of things that we want to add to Sales Presenter at some stage. However, we are currently unable to give a timescale for when this feature will be added.

If your iPad holds the order history data related to orders taken on the iPad (gone if reset). Is it possible to display when inputting an order if a product has been ordered before. I am not talking about the newish backorder logo (Brilliant) but perhaps something else to indicate this customer has ordered this product before.
Offline
SP will be able to indicate previously ordered products once we've added the ability to download the order history from the back-office system (and cloud). We're hoping to implement this soon.

When looking through items that are on back order for a customer it only includes product that are "live" as we only export "live" product to SP. If a customer has a product on back order that isnt "live" then the information isnt available. Is there a way of incorporating the "non live" products in the back order info when the full back order info is available?
Also are you any closer to having the full back order info from the back office yet?

We'll be catering for the existence of "non live" products within SP when implementing the order history feature.

Yes, we're getting closer to allowing the full order history to be uploaded from a back office system. It should be available before the end of the year.
This is not to be confused with the back order info though. While order history and back orders may have some data in common they are regarded as two separate features in SP (see earlier in the topic).

Thanks
Dont worry im not confused on this occasion.

Hi , I have order history prior to using the SP app that i want to be available on the SP screen - how do i do this please, is there a CSV template for this?
Offline
Order history, backorder and ledger information can be uploaded to the cloud account for users of our Account History module. I can get our sales team to contact you with more information if you'd like.

Order history is showing the order but all line items are 0.00 and therefore Total order value are Zero. Clearly, we need to see actual customer order history. How?
