Is it possible once Family code button 1 is selected then on Family code button 2 only specified options appear according to what was selected on Family code button 1?
Offline
At present, the only time the family code lists are filtered are when selecting a catalogue - only the family codes for products in the catalogue will be shown in the lists.
Filtering the lists based on other family code selections is something we've been experimenting with recently. We anticipate having this ability within the app by the end of June.

I look forward to it as the family code buttons are a fantastic feature and this ability will make it a lot easier to use!!

This feature has been completed ahead of schedule and is in version 1.1.4 which was submitted to Apple earlier this week (hopefully appearing in the App Store next week).

Look forward to it.
Will there be configuration to do in the Cloud?
Offline
There's no configuration required. It will simply filter the lists automatically.

How will it know what to filter after selecting from the first drop down?
Or shall i wait to find out how it works?
Offline
There will be no need to find out how it works. In version 1.1.4, the family code buttons will work exactly as you asked at the start of this topic.

Reading previous posts regarding family codes, am I correct in understanding, that from version 1.1.4 onwards, the family code buttons now work in the same way as the logical operand 'AND' , i.e. in a hierarchical manner and not as the logical operand 'OR' (as per previous versions)? In other words if say 'family code 1' AND 'family code 2' AND 'family code 3' are selected then only those products which satisfy ALL 3 conditions will be displayed?
Offline
The buttons have always worked on a logical operand 'AND' basis. That is, only products satisfying all current selections are shown.
However since there was previously no relationship between the five family code buttons you could select entries for each of the buttons that could result in no products being found that match all the criteria.
The difference from version 1.1.4 onwards is that the lists for each of the family code buttons dynamically change as you make selections. Therefore, once you've selected an entry from one family code list the remaining lists only display entries that will always return at least one product.
The family codes that are set up in our demonstration database show this change in effect.

In my 4th Family code button it is currently sequenced numerically. Although before the numbers are "<" and ">" symbols. Do these characters affect the sequencing? Is there a way that i can change this sequence?
Offline
Looking at the famcodes.csv file that has been uploaded to your cloud account, all the family codes have a display sequence of zero so they'll appear in the lists in SP in description sequence instead (which would be in ASCII sequence rather than alphanumeric. In ASCII, some symbols will appear before letters and numbers).
Offline
I have since changed the sequence number for the family codes i was refering to. The sequence hasnt changed on SP of in the file. Is that because of the "<" and ">" symbols?
Offline
In the field mappings screen of your cloud account for the family codes file the DisplaySequence field wasn't mapped so it wasn't picking this field up from the uploaded file. I've mapped this and run the Process Files option so they should appear in the sequence you want once you perform another download from the cloud.
