first start

All the necessary files are in the cloud, we changed the login an pass on our iPad, did a database reset, then full download. We saw all the files and pictures came in the iPad (took 30 minutes), but on the home screen of the iPad, there are 0 Products and 0 Customers.
So when logging in, the rolls 'Sales Rep' and 'Location' are also blank.

Re: first start

It appears that there is something wrong with the text encoding in the last batch of CSV files that have been uploaded to your cloud account (each character in the file is taking up four bytes). Can you double-check that these CSV files look ok in a program such as Windows Notepad before uploading them again.

Re: first start

Your current CSV files still have the same issue. You need to check to see if these CSV files look ok in a program such as Windows Notepad.

Re: first start

I have exactly the same situation. I have checked the files on Notepad and they look fine.

Re: first start

Downloading of the data files takes hours (more than 12 hours).
The speed of downloading the pictures is ok.
After giving the message: download complete, there are 0 products and 0 customers in the iPad.
Completely removing the app, followed even by resetting the database and forced full download again gives no speed advantage.

Re: first start

Especially each time he is  "Requesting data", it takes very longtime (more than 30 seconds, then receiving the part of the file takes 0,5 second). I tried on different places with high-speed wifi, so this cannot be the problem.

Re: first start

The cloud tracks changes to your uploaded data so that it is possible for an iPad to only download any data that has changed since its previous download.

By forcing a full download, the whole history of changes will be downloaded to the iPad during the next download cycle. From then on, the iPad will revert to only downloading changes.

You've been experimenting with the automatic upload of files using our web service API and this has now built up a history of over 250,000 records. However, the files that you're uploading still have text encoding issues.

I will clear your cloud data history so that the next forced full download won't take hours and recommend that you only work with a very small set of data (such as 2 or 3 customers and products, no price lists) until you're happy that your automatic upload process is working ok and these appear on the iPad.
