I Need The Product Description Longer In The Catalogue. How Do You Change The Product Description Length ?

You could utilise the ExDescription (extended description) field in your Products file type. This will show below the image view in the Product Detail screen of your products. It can also be configured to be output on the order acknowledgements via the Configuration > Order Acknowledgement section of your cloud account.

Is there any way so that you can have a longer description on the top catalogue page(where I for example have 8 products up) without going to the Product Detail screen

It is possible to configure the available thumbnails to adjust things such as the position, width and font size of the displayed fields, as well as change which product fields are displayed on the thumbnails via the Configuration > Product Browser section of your cloud account.
