Since our data was uploaded on Friday night we have 5 "products" showing which don't exist on our system.
The codes for these products appear to be made-up of part of the extended descriptions for existing products (which still show in SP). ("100% natural coir....", "5017440023426", "Durable Coir Tufts - ", "Excellent Scraper ..." and "Suitable for indoor or outdoor use")
I have re-uploaded our products.csv file and our catalogue products .csv file (neither of which contained these items as codes). I have also run a download and a full download, but they still show. They show on at least one other device, too.
I have checked other files, such as order history and price matrix, but these "products" aren't referenced anywhere else that I can see. Any idea how they have appeared and how I can get rid of them? Thanks, Simon.

This happens when you have a carriage-return/line feed character embedded within your data (the usual culprit being the extended description). These characters end the current record in your CSV file and all the remaining data for that record gets treated as the next record. The product causing the problem in this case is 02-342
By opening the CSV file in a text editor, such as Wordpad, and scanning down the records you can easily spot the rogue descriptions and make any necessary corrections.

Hi - I thought that might be the case (honest). I'll have a look and get back to you. Thanks, Simon

Just to let you know that it was dodgy characters. Someone had copied and pasted something into our ERP system and not cleaned it afterwards. Thanks for your help
