New Customer Filed does not update

Even if I assign the definitive Account Code to a New Account Order the field IsNewCustomer remain set to 1. Is it the way the system is supposed to work?

Yes, regardless of assigning an account code or not, this field will still be set to 1 to indicate that it is a new customer account.
