Repeated processing

We used Cloud Sync to upload files earlier this evening.
Now our Cloud page states that File were last processed at xx:xx on 15/04/14, but xx:xx keeps changing every few minutes.
iPads state that they cant Download as files are being processed.  Any ideas?
thanks

Re: Repeated processing

Hi
The processing of files finally stopped about 5 hours after it started.
Just to make it clear, it didn't seem to take 5 hours to do one process, it stated from about 18:00 hours onwards that "Last time files were processed" was 18:00, 18:02, 18:04... 22:36, 22:38 etc etc as though it was stuck in a loop.

Re: Repeated processing

Longer processing times can occasionally happen depending on the load being placed on the cloud at the time. We monitor things like this and take appropriate action where necessary (such as tweaking the servers configuration or advising users of changes they can make to improve their cloud performance) if a situation such as this starts becoming a regular occurrence.

Re: Repeated processing

Hi
My point is that the Cloud Page was constantly reporting that files were last processed at a few minutes before I viewed the page.
For example, when i viewed the page at 18:05 it said "Files were last processed at 18:02", at 20:08 it said "Last processed at 20:05" at 20:32 it said "Last processed at 20:28", right through until 22:38.

When the files take a long time to process, the last processed time stays at the previous day's date and time until the process is finished.
Processing normally takes about 15-20 minutes.   In this instance it appears to have taken 20 minutes or so to process the files initially, and then "something" was going on which kept updating the time the files were last processed, without 'releasing' the files for download.  This isn't what normally happens when the job takes a long time.

Re: Repeated processing

The "last processed" time does constantly get refreshed every few seconds or so while the process is still running.

Re: Repeated processing

Ah hah.  I've never noticed that before (maybe because it's never taken 5 hours before.....)
I'll keep a beady eye on tonight's run.   I take it there's nothing visibly wrong with our data that would have caused it to run for so long?
Thanks
