Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

(I'm currently using 1.2.8 and iOS7.0.2)
I've just tried emailing myseld a PDF of an order confrimation, but all I'm receiving is an email with image place holders.
I've tried opening this in iBooks to forward on from there, but iBooks only gives the option to print this PDF, not email (like it does with others).
Has something changed in the way PDF attachments are handled?   I've had periodic problems reported to me previously when reps try to email product PDFs to suppliers....
Thanks

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

SP passes the PDF to the email app to send rather than sending emails directly so once the "compose email" screen pops up (which is part of the email app, not SP), SP is left a bit in the dark regarding what actually happened with the email.

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

ah, yes, but..
When I preview an order in SP and select to open in a different app (iBooks, PDF Expert etc) and then email the PDF from this App, i only get a placeholder in the relevant email.  Sending PDFs from other sources via these Apps results in an attached PDF.  On the face of it this implies that the PDF isn't being generated correctly.
Also, when I email a PDF which has been uploaded to Sales Presenter and attached to a product, I DO get an attachment, but when i try to open it, Adobe Reader reports an error and says the document is damaged and could not be repaired.

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

It seems that there are various issues with the iOS 7 email application. The following link may shed some light on the image placeholder you mentioned in your post - https://discussions.apple.com/message/23174247#23174247

Hopefully Apple will address these issues with an update in the near future.

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you found a way to fix or get around it?
Thanks

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

We are having a similiar problem. One of reps has an issue when sending an order by email - most of the time it attaches correctly but then sometimes you just see the order in the body of the email. Whilst you say the Ipad email application takes over why would you have this inconsistancy with data being sent from the Sales Presenter when there is no obvious idea why it does not work correctly.

Thanks

Re: Emailing PDFs from Sales Presenter

Similarly to the previous answer, there are still issues with emailing on devices running versions iOS 7 or later. We are hoping that Apple will address these issues in future updates.

Once the email button has been pressed in Sales Presenter, it is Apple's email application that deals with the handling of the email and therefore we have no control over what actually happens to it.
