PDF field

Is there a field on the products page similar to the (photoref) field to reference the same PDF or video for mutable products? If so what is the name of the PDF and video fields?

Thanks

Re: PDF field

The PhotoRef field takes into account photos, videos and PDFs. We have plans to separate these fields in the future.

Re: PDF field

When I add a PDF to the photo ref file My picture for that product goes to the default pic. How to I input the info.
Do I need a comma or just a space between the pic and pdf. For example.   4TTB30, 4TTB30_a   with the 2nd being the pdf.

Re: PDF field

At the moment photos, videos and PDFs need to all have the same name.

For example, if your PhotoRef field contains "4TTB30" then your related files need to be "4TTB30.jpg", "4TTB30.mp4" and "4TTB30.pdf".

We are looking to make "MovieRef" and "PDFRef" fields available to the Products file in the near future.

Re: PDF field

OK I must be having a brain fart because I can not get it to work.

In the PhotoRef field I would put all of the following typed in exactly as follows.  4TTB30 4TTB30.pdf 4TTB30.mp4 with no type of seperator between them. Up load and process then download to the Ipad to have all 3 items show up with the product.

I would also upload the pic, pdf and movie with the same names. to the photos, pdf and movie sections.

Is this correct? If so I can not get it to work. sad

Re: PDF field

I tried this the other day successfully. The Photoref field should only contain the JPEG file name if it differs to that of the item code (without the .JPG extension) and you upload the JPEG accordingly. However, with the PDF and MP4 you just upload them - when you go into the product details you will see a button for the PDF and I assume the MP4 (we have not done that). Hope this helps.

Re: PDF field

Thanks Keith

I have done this but no button for the PDF on the products details.
Is there something to check or setup to have the button show up? I have even forced a full download but still no button.
Any other ideas?

In PhotoRef field  4TTM30

Picture uploaded to picture file   4TTM30     (Picture shows up fine)
PDF uploaded to PDF file           4TTM30     (No button or PDF)

Re: PDF field

OK
I was able to get a pdf to work by using the full item code only. It is not working using the PhotoRef field code.

This would mean that I would need to upload a lot of pdf's (one for each item code) instead of referencing to one already uploaded using up a lot of space.

Why do you think the pdf's not working with the photoref field code?

Re: PDF field

We have just double checked the source, and it seems that the code that takes into account the PhotoRef field for PDFs has been disabled. We are unsure why this is the case but it is clearly an oversight on our part that will be corrected in the next version.

Photos and videos utilising the PhotoRef field are still working.

We are looking to make "MovieRef" and "PDFRef" fields available to the Products file in the near future which will enable you to have a different naming convention for each of your uploaded media types.

Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Re: PDF field

No problem
Looking forward to the update. At least I now know I was not doing something wrong.
