I've been experimenting with this new feature and it should prove to be incredibly useful.
However, I have found out that the Sales Force (well, at least one of them) are able to see all the orders which i've uploaded, not just the ones relevant to their customers. Is this a "feature" or have will i have missed a setting in the header configuration? (i recall a similar thing happedened with the Back Order History feature)
Thanks

On an iPad where the rep can see all the orders the that you've uploaded, can you check the Database Information screen (in the Download Manager section) for the number of "Historical Orders" and how many of those are viewable?
The issue with the backorders was in the Reports section. Is this where the rep is seeing your order history? Or are they seeing the orders somewhere else?

Hi
I've checked with the rep concerned and their database shows 4313 Historical orders, with the same number viewable (mine shows 4314 for both?). I would expect them to have 317 viewable, based on their rep code. I haven't yet checked with the other reps, as I don't want to highlight this just yet.
(i mentioned the Back order history in Reports as a reminder that reps could see ALL Back Orders, not just theirs, when this feature was introduced, didn't mean to cofuse things)

When the "Viewable" figure is the same as the number of historical orders in the database it tends to indicate that the rep restrictions have not been set up for that device.
We have just tested your data with rep code 15 and the number of orders viewable was 289. Of the 317 orders for that rep in your order history file, 28 of them were against customer/address numbers that are no longer valid.

Thank-you for testing this. As far as I'm aware, the Rep restrictions are in place for that device, the rep normally only sees his customers (Rep Code 15). Is there somewhere else I need to set configuration, other than Manage Device > Rep Restrictions?
Have I correctly set the Rep Code within the order Headers? They seem to translate OK.
Thanks

Can you blank out the rep restriction for the iPad, perform a download from cloud, re-apply the restriction, perform another download from cloud and check again to see how many of the records are viewable - this may help us to understand what has gone on.

We're also getting a problem with the Order Line history. In our example we've uploaded 41737 lines and that's confirmed on the Cloud. However on the Ipad there are 50163 lines. There are many orders where the lines are duplicated but just quotes a line number and "Product No Longer On Record" - I can tell they are duplicated because the price and quantity appear correctly at the beginning - I have a screen shot I can send.

I've not had chance to ask the rep to do this yet (he's based away from the office), but I've also had another rep (code 5) also report that he can see everyone else's orders. I'm happy to believe that it's an error in the way I've configured things, but I haven't a clue what i may have missed.

The first Rep I've got to update to the latest version can also see everyone's orders - he is only setup to see his own.

We believe we know what is causing the issue, but we need somebody to follow the instructions below and let us know what effect it has on the number of records viewable before we can submit a new release to the App Store to rectify it.

We are aware that order history deletions are not being processed by the iPads at the moment, this will also be fixed when we submit a new release to the App Store.

I have just got our rep to do that and worked perfectly - 7274 orders before - 784 afterwards. However, still got the issue of duplicated lines on some orders.

Thanks Admin and Keith. I am in the process of asking the rep(s) concerned to do this and will let you know how they get on.
Thanks, Simon

Just had a phone call from the rep - when going into an order it's not showing order line history ! What do we do next ? Do we re-process the order line history file ?

This worked as you suggested - I'd thought that it would be a lengthy process, but all that's downloaded each time is the restriction configuration, not all the data. I will restrict my device and see what results I get.

Restricting my device has worked ok, (order line details still visible, too)

I am testing on one of our house reps Ipad to see what happens.

We have submitted an update to Apple to address the order history issues. Please see the following topic for more information: http://www.bacapps.co.uk/forum/viewtopi … 1830#p1830
Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Hi, my Ipad is not charging properly and i have borrowed the wife's ipad. i have installed SP and noticed that there is no order history showing items previously ordered. This is a very useful tool for me. If I need to replace my Ipad, how can I ensure that the order history will be saved. Is there a form of backup that I can do?

The Order History on a device is saved specifically for that device, therefore you cannot transfer these between devices.
The Account History Module allows you to upload historical orders to your Cloud Account which can then be downloaded to your device. If you would like more information on this and other available cloud upgrades, we can pass on your details to the Sales Team.
