Re: Family Codes not always working

We have an issue in the cloud which we need to resolve. When a user starts off setting up their family codes in a productfamilycodes.csv but then switches at some point to setting them up in their products.csv file instead, the data relating to the last processed productfamilycodes.csv file doesn't get removed from the cloud so you end up with the family codes being mapped in two places (causing a conflict).

I've removed the redundant data and refreshed the timestamps against your products in the cloud so the product data should correct itself on the iPad when you next perform a download from the cloud.

We'll try to work out a solution to cope with this scenario in the future.

Re: Family Codes not always working

I am experiencing a similar issue with family codes.  I setup several codes which we use as product categories.  They were displaying correctly and working fine until I did a recent upload of new catalogs and wanted to test the use of the family codes in the products file.  Now the family codes do not show up any more even though I am not using them in the products file.  My goal is to have a list of catalogs to choose from and then family codes to choose depending on which catalog I am in.

Is this the same issue and can you resolve for me?  Thx.

Re: Family Codes not always working

When working with catalogues, you will only see family codes that relate to products in the currently selected catalogue.

I've taken a quick look at your stats and can see you've got 2,739 products but have only set up family codes for 54 of them. Therefore, the family code list will only be available in SP when you haven't selected a catalogue (i.e. browsing all products) or have selected a catalogue with at least one of those 54 products in them. You have some products set up for family code FN but this code doesn't appear in your familycodes.csv file.

Re: Family Codes not always working

I currently have 1 catalog setup called ZONE2 and it contains all of the 2739 products.  However, even with the correct references to the familycodes.csv and productfamilycodes.csv file uploaded, when I do not select a catalog and browse all, I see all 2739 products and when I choose the catalog all I see is 1 product without a product number ( Acorn Lamp ).  Before I setup the ZONE2 catalog, I had one called 2013 and I was able to view the family codes in a list on the upper left of the iPad screen.  Now I no longer have this option even though I have the same products setup with just a different catalog name.

This is why I believed that my issue was related to GuyB's original post and your initial response to him.  Please let me know what you think this might be.

Re: Family Codes not always working

From the figures on the file mapping screen in your cloud account your catalogue only has 2654 out of the 2739 products and there are only 52 products with family codes held against them. I'm guessing that none of these 52 products are in the catalogue.
