Is it possible to add a new address to an account that already exists on the database on the app?

This is not possible. The management of addresses for existing customer accounts needs to come from your back-office system.

If the address was added at the back office could this sent over as long as it was in the customer information/addresses?

If you're adding an address at the back office you would then need to extract this data, upload it to the cloud, perform a "Process Files" and finally use the download option in Sales Presenter to get the new address onto the iPad.
