A couple of days ago, I carried out some minor changes to my configuration...some of them didn't take. Since then both ipads are crashing when we try to download. If I try to download, it will carry on as normal for about 10 sec; then crash the programme......it just disappears and I have to select it again and log in again. If I try to upload orders, it crashes out immediately. I have shut down all other programmes. I tried installing the new operating system (5.0.1), however it is still crashing. The programme works well otherwise. Any ideas?

I have sent a response to you via email since it contains some details about your data.
We have found a bug in the "download from cloud" option that crashes the app when attempting to delete a customer account from the iPad that no longer exists in the cloud account. We will submit an update that fixes this to Apple within the next couple of days.
To help investigate the crash during the "Upload Orders to the Cloud" option, we have requested a copy of the Sales Presenter database from your iPad. The email details the steps involved in retrieving the database from your iPad.

I have uploaded price changed and images, however, when I try to complete a download to the iPad as above in Geoff's post the iPad crashes and I have to start the App again. The app reports "Last Successful Download; None. What haven't I done?

This is the same issue. One of the changes triggered by the latest customers.csv file that you've uploaded is that the customer account code 336 should be removed from the iPad since it no longer exists in the CSV file. However, it is the deleting of the customer account within Sales Presenter that is causing the crash (the bug was introduced in the current version, 1.0.6, so the deletion of customer accounts in earlier versions was ok).
We are currently testing a fix for this and should be submitting an update (1.0.7) to Apple later today. Updates usually take 3-5 days to go through the Apple approval process before they appear in the AppStore.
In the meantime, I have marked account 336 as a "live" account again within your cloud data so that you should be able to perform the download process ok now.
If possible, can you hold off from uploading any further customers.csv files until version 1.0.7 is available. Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.

Sales Presenter reports this either after a fresh install of the app or after the user has used the Reset Database or Force a Full Download. This indicates that the next download of data from the cloud will be a full download of all data.

An update (1.0.7) has now been submitted to Apple that addresses the crashes during the upload and download processes.

Thank you Administrator...... This App is brilliant and OK I have experienced a couple of hitches but without fail you are on it. Makes my job easier, Thank You.

Administrator... It would seem this problem has returned? I have had to change some of my Customer details. IE "Blue Alligator (HH)" to "Blue Alligator". I have done this by going into the customers.csv re naming the accounts, saving then uploading to cloud and processing the files in the normal way. I then did a download and a full download because the app closed and returned to the home screen not allowing you do view previous orders.
I hope this makes sense?

I've taken a look at your cloud settings.
For the customers.csv file is looks like your current field mapping is setting the AddressNo field to the Name column in your CSV file rather than to the Address No. column in the file.
I would recommend that you correct this mapping then perform a Process Files in your cloud account then attempt the download again. Let me know whether this works or not. In the meantime I'll have a think about what to do if this still causes an issue for you.
Offline
Administrator... I am afraid this has not made a difference.
Up until you advised me to change the mapping I had not changed this switch since I first set it up in September 2011. Until the last update and my need to change an account description (today) it had worked perfectly well.

I misunderstood your issue. I thought you'd meant that the crashing during download issue had returned but I can see from our logging that you've performed the download ok.
Where exactly in the app is it crashing for you? Are you in the customer enquiry or order enquiry? Does it show you the list of orders ok? Exactly what action are you performing that results in the crash (i.e. pressing a particular button or selecting a particular order from the list)?
Offline
It crashes when I go into the customer account and try an view the order and or into order history and pick all and then a specific order from the list.
On further investigation it would seem this happens only on a handful of orders 174, 172, 170, 145. Could it be that account information has changed for these and that change is not liked (the changes would only be in the account name)?
Do I possibly need to change these account names back as they were (although not ideal as my principles get confused with too much information). If so will it mean that once created the account name details can not be updated.

There will be no issue with changing the name field on an account.
Orders are linked to a customer by the account code so if you see the list of orders in customer enquiry against a customer then that link is intact.
If it only crashes on a handful of orders then the issue is something specific to the data related to those orders (either the address or product data).
I'll check the change history of addresses and products on those orders in your cloud data to see if I can determine what piece of data has changed to cause this issue.

OK, I can see what has happened now.
This is a side-effect of the mis-mapping of the address number field combined with a recent tightening up of the Process Files logic in the cloud.
Prior to yesterday, the previous changes to the customers.csv file you upload were on the 17th January.
At that time, the Process Files process would not have been able to work out the numeric value of the address number field that was required (due to the mis-map). This caused the address number value to be undetermined (in effect a random number).
After that time, the Process Files logic has been tightened up to always ensure a numeric field contains a zero value rather than an undetermined value in this scenario.
With yesterdays upload of a changed customers.csv file, the Process Files process has changed the address numbers held against the accounts from their undetermined value to a zero value.
This has the effect of instructing Sales Presenter on the iPad to delete the address records for account code/address number combinations that no longer exist, then add new address records for the account code/zero address number combinations that now exist.
The result is that you now have some orders in Sales Presenter for address numbers that no longer exist. When trying to display the address details for an order on the enquiry screen, Sales Presenter is making an assumption that the address number recorded against the order still exists. When it can't find that address, the app crashes.
In addition to the orders you've identified, I believe orders 138, 143 and 146 will show the same symptons.
We will change this so that the app shows some "Address no longer on record" text when it can't find an address rather than crashing. This will allow you to view and/or copy the affected orders. This change will be in version 1.1.3, which we intend to submit to Apple at some point next week (unfortunately we've already submitted the next update, version 1.1.2 to Apple so it's too late to include this fix in that update).

Thank You Administrator - I look forward to the 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 updates.

We were able to delay the release of version 1.1.2 so have managed to include the change in that version, which is now available in the App Store.
Please let us know if this has cured your crashing issue.
