Country Field

I've uploaded our customer data and included data for the field "Country" but left "Country Code" empty.  When I look on the Ipad, the Country field seems empty.  is this because I need to complete the country code?  if so, is there a methodology or protocol for this?

Any field mappings marked as 'for future use', such as the Country field on the Customer file, are unused by the system. You will need to use the CountryCode field against a customer and upload a Countries CSV file to define the names for each country code.
