Using ipod touch 4th gen as SP Controller to ios8 ipad

I have today upgraded my ipad to ios 8 and and sp 1.4.2 and my ipod touch to ios 6.1.6 sp 1.4.2 but they no longer see each other.

please advise.

Unfortunately, due to changes in the way that Bluetooth communication is handled in iOS 8, when attempting to use SP controller mode with an iPad running iOS 8, the iPhone/iPod touch also needs to be running iOS 8.
