Support for the Blue Alligator applications

Hi,
I am my companies new Video content Producer and I have been tasked with ensuring our video content works properly on this app. I can see that the file format has to be an Mpeg4 m4v file - but I would like to know more info about the precise video specifications which will work with the app.
for example:
Is there a maximum bit rate?
Is there a maximum file size?
Is there an optimum resolution?
Is there a maximum resolution?
What frame rates are supported?
Does the app transcode the video or does it leave it as is?
Is there a maximum runtime of the video?
Ideally I would like to know this info and be directed to any existing spec guidelines which have already been published if any (I tried searching the forum but could not find anything)
Many thanks
Tom

There is no maximum runtime of the video and no maximum file size (other than the amount of available storage space you have on our cloud).
Sales Presenter doesn't transcode videos - they are left as is and it is the operating system that physically plays the video. The following information is from the Apple documentation:
Any video file that is supported in iOS should run. This means files with the extensions .mov, .mp4, .mpv, and .3gp and using one of the following compression standards:
- H.264 Baseline Profile Level 3.0 video, up to 640 x 480 at 30 fps. (The Baseline profile does not support B frames)
- MPEG-4 Part 2 video (Simple Profile)

Thanks for your help!
I suppose this means HD content is out of the question?

It probably wouldn't be worth uploading full HD videos to your cloud account as the majority of your 70+ devices are iPad 2's (with a resolution of 1024x768), so wouldn't really benefit from having them.
Since we are simply transferring the videos to the iPads and the operating system is in total control of the playback, we suggest experimenting with short clips at various resolutions to find out which suits you best.

Fair enough,
many thanks for your support
