Download not completing

On 3 attempts the download from the cloud hasnt worked.  Twice i think it got to the customer information download.  After that i updated to the latest version.  I tried again and then it got as far as the pricing information.  Each time when it fails a message of "check if you have an internet connection"

The "check you have an internet connection" is a generic message which basically means that the download process was interrupted for some reason, such as the connection temporarily droppping.

We have recently made some changes to the way the download process works to assist with the resuming of an interrupted or aborted download rather than the user having to perform the entire download again (which in the instance of an initial download of data to an iPad could be a considerable time).

An update containing these changes was submitted to Apple last week and should hopefully be available in the App Store some time this week.

I have tried again it still didnt work.  What shall i do now? Do i have to wait until the update is released to see if it works then?

If you keep having the issue then we would recommend that you wait until the update that we've submitted to Apple is released.

I have updated to version 1.0.3 and im still have download issues! It is failing during the last price paid data.  Now it is has a message of invalid licence number or activation code.  I havent changed anything.  I cant log onto the Cloud either at the moment.

Could you please try again. We have rebooted the web server and will monitor it to see if this happens again.

As you are now on version 1.0.3, when you do perform the download again it should resume from the start of the last price paid data rather than having to download the customer and product information again.

When downloading a large volume of data (such as an initial download to the iPad with hundreds of thousands of records) we recommend that you turn off "Auto-Lock" on your iPad (set it to "Never" in settings) and plug your iPad into mains power. This will greatly reduce the amount of time needed to perform the download by preventing the iPad from going into low power mode.

On tests where we were seeing several communication cycles with our cloud server per minute during a download we saw this drop to one cycle every 10 minutes as soon as the iPad went into low power mode.

We will look to see if it's possible for Sales Presenter to stop an iPad going into low power mode during a download.
