App asking for a password

I just had one of my reps purchase Sales Presenter.  He went through all of the necessary steps to get the information from my cloud account.  However when he trys to login from his ipad app after doing a full download, he is asked for a password.  That has never happened to anyone else.  The only thing I see is that he is on 1.1.9, while everyone else, including me is on 1.1.7.  What is this all about?

This is described in the app store "what's new in this release" section for version 1.1.9.
