Version 1.0.2 - currently awaiting Apple approval

- Account on hold indicator now shown on the customer enquiry screen (address section). The user is also warned when attempting to create a new order if the account is on hold.

- Customer discount functionality now implemented.

- Uses configurable column headings on the order acknowledgement (headings are configured via your Blue Alligator cloud account).

- Customer search feature works with any field from the primary address number for each customer (as configured in your cloud account).

- Bug fix - Company address lines 2 and 4 now printed on the order acknowledgement, together with the customers "invoice to" and "delivery to" names.

- Bug fix - full screen view of additional product images now displays the correct image (previously displayed the primary image for a product).

Version 1.0.3 - currently awaiting Apple approval

- Download performance improvement. Now records various checkpoints during a download cycle so that an interrupted or aborted download is resumed during the next download cycle rather than always starting over again. Displays a simple "percentage complete" against each type of data while downloading.

- Ability to use the last price paid for a product by a customer (if available).

- Ability to configure (via your cloud account) the order totals that are shown in the bottom-left of the screen during order entry (this defaults to showing both the number of lines on the order and the order value).

- Significant speed improvement when selecting a catalogue containing thousands of products.

- Due/cancel dates on orders are now transferred correctly when uploading orders back to your cloud account.

- Changed the default generic image that is displayed in the catalogue when no photo is available for a product.

Version 1.0.4 - currently awaiting Apple approval

- Order acknowledgement - the pack size field is now output in the same format as displayed on the product detail screen.

- Order acknowledgement - the company address line 4 is now output correctly.

- Order acknowledgement - preparations have been made in the app for making the column widths configurable via your cloud account (cloud functionality to become available in due course).

- Download from cloud option - addresses an issue when synchronising data across time zones.

Please note: the app will force a full download of data the first time you perform a download using this version.

Version 1.0.5 - currently awaiting Apple approval

This is an interim update which mainly addresses a couple of issues with iOS 5 compatibility.

- iOS 5 compatible.

- Various cosmetic/formatting changes on the order acknowledgement such as displaying the customers email address and fax number, making any special instructions wording more prominent and coping with large pieces of text in the footer comments. 

- Images you remove from your cloud account are now removed from Sales Presenter as well.

- Changed the names of the cloud account pairing codes to "user name" and "pass code".

- Product browsing sequence can now be configured within your cloud account (if not using display sequences).

- Auto-lock is now disabled while a download takes place.

- The app now lets you know during the download from cloud stage whether a new version exists in the App Store.

- Inclusion of a gentle reminder to review Sales Presenter in the App Store.

We've spotted a cosmetic issue with 1.0.5 when running under iOS 5, where the order history tab is no longer shown automatically after creating a new order. You have to select another tab then re-select the order history tab before you can email or print the order.

Version 1.0.6, which fixes this, has already been submitted to Apple and should be available soon.

Version 1.0.7 - currently awaiting Apple approval

This is a minor update, addressing the following issues:

- Download option now handles customer account data deletions (this previously caused the app to return to the home screen)

- Upload option now handles orders for previously deleted customer account and/or product data (this previously caused the app to return to the home screen)

- The current configuration is no longer lost if there is a comms issue at the start of the download process

- The "Maximum number of products returned in a single search" setting is now ignored when viewing all ordered products on an order

Version 1.0.8 - currently awaiting Apple approval

This is a major update which has some significant enhancements to the order entry process.

Order entry changes:

- Ability to create an order for several delivery addresses at once.

- Ability to select standard special instructions from a pre-configured list.

- Ability to override default customer discount values per order or order line. Product detail screen shows both gross and net selling prices.

- Ability to override the default quantity entry unit on each order line. Product detail screen shows quantities in both the entry unit and the total number of items.

- Pricing logic has been enhanced to cater for customer specific price lists, sliding discounts and volume breaks.

Order acknowledgement changes:

- Address summary page added for multi-delivery address orders.

- Optionally show thumbnails of product images (useful when creating "photo quotes").

Customer enquiry changes:

- Five user-defined fields added to the "Balances / Info" screen. This allows you to display additional customer account information from your back-office system. These fields form part of the searched fields when looking up customer accounts.

- Notes field added to the "Balances / Info" screen. This allows you to display customer notes from your back-office system.

Product browser changes:

- Inbuilt dynamic catalogue for recently added products.

- Five user-defined fields added to the "Product Details" screen. This allows you to display additional product information from your back-office system.

- Extended product description now displayed under the product image on the "Product Details" screen. This allows you to display a narrative or more in-depth description of the product.

- The list of displayed fields on the "Product Details" screen can now be customised via your Blue Alligator cloud account. You can also swipe the fields up and down if they don't all fit on the screen at the same time.

- Alternate photo reference field added to products - gives the ability to share an image across several products

The configuration section within your Blue Alligator cloud account will be updated in the next couple of days to allow you to turn on/off or customise the various new features added in this version. The new settings have been initialised in a way to ensure that the app behaves, by default, in the same manner as previous versions.

After installing this version, you should use the Download from Cloud option within the app to download the new configuration settings before continuing to use the app.

Please note: We have made some fundamental changes to the database structure with this version. While all existing orders created within the app should be preserved we advise you to ensure that you have printed/emailed copies of any order acknowledgements that you have not yet exported to your cloud account.

Version 1.0.9 - currently awaiting Apple approval

This is a minor update to fix a bug that was introduced into version 1.0.8 which can cause the app to exit to the home screen when attempting to email an order acknowledgement.

There may be a delay before this version appears in the App Store due to the Christmas shutdown from 22-29 December at Apple.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

There will be a flurry of (tested) updates in 2012 to satisfy a whole host of exciting new features we have planned for Sales Presenter.

Version 1.1.0 - currently awaiting Apple approval

- Added a rapid product entry screen during order entry. Useful for taking orders quickly at exhibitions and trade shows when you don't want to browse through the catalogues. It give you a keyboard of alpha and numeric keys plus three custom keys that can be configured via your cloud account. This keyboard is not yet barcode scanner-friendly but we're working on that.

- Additional fields that can be mapped for Catalogues and Family Codes to allow images and extended descriptions to be displayed against them. Also, the display sequence for the list of catalogues and family codes can now be set.

- Ability to allow/prohibit discounts during order entry on a product by product basis. By default, discounts are allowed on all products (for backward compatibility). There is a new ProhibitDiscount field that can be mapped for a product to prohibit the giving of a discount for that product.

- Minor cosmetic tweaks.

Version 1.1.1 - currently awaiting Apple approval

Customer/Order enquiry changes:

- Ability to delete previously exported orders

- Ability to hold/release orders. Orders that are on hold will not be uploaded to your cloud account

- The currency code set up for a customer is now shown on the Balances/Info screen

- Ability to select a currency code (if configured) when creating a new customer

- The Notes field on the Balances/Info screen can now be populated by comprehensive notes (if available) from your back-office system

Product browser changes:

- Ability to show wording such as "In Stock" or "No Stock" for a product instead of displaying the actual available figure

- Instantly move between pages of products simply by tapping the bottom left and right corners of the screen (don't worry, you can still swipe through the pages)

- Ability to specify a catalogue that is automatically displayed as you go into the product browser screen (the catalogue will not be selected when when amending an order, however)

- Performance improvement when retrieving a large number of products (for example, 5,000+ products)

- Ability to show the quantity ordered alongside the order value and number of lines in the bottom-left of the screen during order entry

- The family code popup lists are now context sensitive when browsing a catalogue. Only family codes that relate to products in the currently selected catalogue will be shown

- Ability to prohibit (on a rep by rep basis) reps from altering selling prices, giving discounts, viewing sensitive product information (such as cost prices, sales history) or viewing specific groups of products

Order entry changes:

- A fourth order type (Credit Note) has been added

- Ability to automatically place new orders on hold

- Ability to increase/decrease order quantities via the product browser screen. You only need to view the product details screen if you want to alter any prices or discounts for the order line. This is useful if you do not want your customer to see your detailed product information

- Ability to add special instructions against each product on an order. The maximum size is set to 30 characters by default but can be increased as required. If automatically importing orders into your back-office system you should set this value to the maximum size that your system can accept

- Upon exiting the product browser during order entry you are now brought back to the order header screen. This gives you the opportunity to add or change any details for the order before you finalise the order entry process by pressing the Finish button

Order acknowledgement changes:

- Ability to show the total carton quantity for an order in the order totals section

- Ability to show the total cubic volume of an order in the order totals section

- Ability to show the currency code for an order against the order value

- Ability to force the primary address number to be shown as the invoice address

- Any special instructions for a product on the order are printed on a second line underneath the product

- A PDF copy of the order acknowledgement is now uploaded to your cloud account as part of the order upload process. You can access these PDF files via the Orders section of your cloud account.

General changes:

- Ability to configure the number of decimals to be shown for prices, values, discounts and volumes

- Cosmetic changes (such as altering font sizes) to improve the readability of data

Please note: After installing, the app will state that you have zero products loaded. You must use the Download from cloud option within the app to download the latest configuration settings before continuing to use the app.

Version 1.1.2 - currently awaiting Apple approval

Due to some restructuring changes in this version you must use the Download from cloud option within the app, after installing, before you continue normal usage of the app.

The majority of users have kept up-to-date with our releases. However, if you are upgrading from version 1.0.6 or earlier your device will be treated as a new device in your Blue Alligator cloud account. You will need to re-apply any rep restrictions that you placed on the device and re-authorise it before your sales rep can access your data. Since the device will then appear twice in your list of devices you can simply delete the old entry.

- The content of the various tables in the customer enquiry screen (Addresses, Ledgers, Backorders and Order History) can now be re-sequenced by tapping the column headings. Tapping the same column a second time will reverse the sequence for that column.

- The rapid product entry screen during order entry is now Bluetooth barcode scanner-friendly.

- Ability to encode various product prices (such as cost, minimum and stream prices) so they can be viewed by the rep but are hidden from the customer until selected.

- Ability to move between products via the product detail screen rather than having to go back to the product thumbnail screen.

- The plus/minus buttons that were previously introduced to the product thumbnails during order entry are now also available on the product detail screen.

- Inbuilt Clearance Products catalogue to show any product with a clearance price (configured via your cloud account, disabled by default).

- Customer signature capture has been added. The customer can sign an order via the order header or order acknowledgement preview screens. Once an order has been signed it cannot be amended until you clear the signature.

- Internal reorganisation of the storage locations used for your application data and images. They will no longer contribute to your Apple iCloud storage usage. A one-off "post-processing images" phase will automatically run at the end of your next download cycle to move existing images and data into their new storage locations. If you have thousands of product images then this process may take some time.

- Fixed an issue introduced in version 1.1.1 which returned you to the first page of a catalogue after viewing a full-screen image of a product.

- Fixed a sub-totalling issue on the the order acknowledgement.

- The on hold indicator now shows correctly against an order in the list on the order enquiry screen when using the iPad in portrait mode.

- Existing orders for delivery addresses no longer in the database can now be viewed.

- Various cosmetic tweaks.

It has come to our attention that the product browser screen crashes in version 1.1.2 when running the app on an iPad which is still using an older version of the operating system (such as iOS 4.3.3).

This is due to the app now using some features that were introduced in iOS 5.0. We recommend that you install the latest iOS software update from Apple on your iPad before updating to this version of Sales Presenter.
