By default, images larger than 768 pixels in either height or width are automatically reduced to these maximum sizes during the file upload process before they're stored in your cloud account. The aspect ratio of the original image is maintained.

We have recently added a configuration setting which allows you to choose a slightly higher size (maximum of 1024 pixels in height or width) but bear in mind that the resulting file sizes could potentially be increased by as much as 77% than when using the default maximum size of 768 pixels.

The upload process will accept image files of any size but if you have the capability of resizing your images prior to uploading then this could considerably reduce the time it takes to actually upload your images in the first place (for example, we had an instance where 12GB worth of images were uploaded to one account over the course of a couple of days which our upload process reduced to just over 200MB).
